San Miguel de Allende

My husband, Maynard, and I live in Freedom, NH, but most of my recent paintings have been done in San Miguel De Allende. Even when working at home, my inspiration seems to come from the vivid colors and imaginative play found in Mexican folk art.

....Maybe it’s the bright colors or lively music.... Maybe it’s the Mexican “esprit de corp”.... creativity seems to be in the air. One feels free from the mundane and welcomes an escape from the literal world into one of the imagination.

On my journey into the wonderful realm of color, design and composition, I find reality less interesting than fantasy. Fantasy becomes a reality in still life paintings when one’s muse guides the hand in composition, color, design and paint
